If you live in a hot and / or humid climate, store the sugar in the fridge for an hour or so before sugaring.ģ. If stored in the bathroom, ensure the jar is stored in a drawer or cupboard as steam from showers will affect the temperature of the sugar.Ģ. Here are a few ways to ensure your sugar stays cool, is firm out of the jar, and provides a successful sugaring session:ġ. If your sugar seems sticky either out of the jar, or very quickly once it gets on the skin, it is too warm. This way, the sugar won't be TOO warm, but it will be warm enough to reduce the tugging that happens when the sugar is cool. If this is the case for you, do not let the sugar sit on the skin, but instead, apply 3x and remove on the inside of the wrist before moving to the area you're actually sugaring. Letting it sit on the skin for too long can make the sugar too warm. This amount of time may vary from person to person. With each new piece of Sugar, we suggest letting it sit on the skin for 10-15 seconds before spreading. If necessary, apply an ice pack or something cool onto the skin to cool it down before sugaring.ģ. The temperature of your skin: Don't apply the Sugar right after working out, being out in the sun, sitting in front of a fire / heater, or immediately after showering.
